The greatbasintrail.org is a group of OHV enthusiasts who love riding, love exploring, and love Nevada. While highlighting the rich history and resources of Nevada, we are striving to fill a niche in the OHV opportunity spectrum that is not currently being served. There is market demand for SXS riding opportunities; legal routes for non-street legal vehicles; long-distance routes; touring, not trail systems; adventure/challenge trails; and overland camping opportunities. The Great Basin Trail serves all of these needs plus it provides outstanding opportunities for Jeeps, 4WDs and other street-legal vehicles equipped for the outback. It will draw regional and national attention to Nevada which we hope will stimulate local economies.

We are in the process of filing organization papers and seeking non-profit status. Meanwhile, we are working to identify potential routes.
